Ooh don't poo-poo a nickel, Lisa.  A nickel will buy you a
steak and kidney pie, a cup of coffee, a slice of
cheesecake and a newsreel.  With enough change left over to ride the trolley from Battery Park to the polo grounds.

Is anyone else experiencing a time warp with gas prices?  I've seen it as low as $.87/gallon!  Just like during high school.

The day Bazooka Joe became more than 5 cents was the end of the 80's for me. Ju-jubes were 1 cent each, a bag of Tostitos would run you 35 cents, a "Snow White" cream soda about 40 cents, hockey and baseball card packs were never over 25 cents, and Big League Chew was at the top of the price list at a wopping 50+ cents. They used to sell this Chinese stick gum in red packaging that would come with a little tattoo for 2 cents. Can't remember the name though...

I agree with the last post..and even when you bought a pack of baseball card then you got a stick of gum with them.....it was so hard you could hardly chew it, but you got something extra.....lol
