I'm sorry but i don't have much to go on. The year is approx 1983 +/-. The video was played on MYV constantly. I don't recall them ever having any other song.
The band was two men.
The video had them bopping around or what have you to a semi plain white background with them in suits. They were clean cut and for some reason I recall then possibly having shaved heads. But I could be wrong on that one.
The lyrics had the words repeated of.. "down in water town or bordertown...or something that sounded like that.
The band name was two names.. "the...(something). or "(something)....boys",,,( I checked out The Waterboys already).
The song can still be heard on the radio from time to time or even in a "musak" form for elevators and background music. It is not techno or dance. I guess it was just "pop".
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks for any help.

Absolutely, the song is West End Girls by the Pet Shop Boys. You'll find it on the album 'Disco'.

I don't think so, there was talk about being a 1 hit wonder... but if it is the '83 version of PSB "West End Girls", you wont find that on any album.
