Guest Guest	Hey I need this for a report...Anyone know what movie was number 1 around September 5th 1986? ( either the week before or week after either would be appreciated ) I know it's tough, but I'd appreciate it if anyone would help or at least guesstimate

My guess for this one would be Stand By Me. It was released on August 8 of 1986 (according to my research), about 4 - 4 1/2 weeks before the date you're looking for. But in my searches for other movies of 1986, no others were released close enough to that date that I can track that would beat this one. Other movies were definitely released after this point and before your specified date, but none of them rank as top grossing movies of 1986, where this one does. It's probably a pretty safe bet that "Stand By Me" was the #1 movie around September 5th, 1986.
